Last Stand Tournament Rulebook
1. Introduction
1.1. Purpose of the Rulebook The purpose of the Last Stand tournament rulebook is to:
- Set Clear Rules: Establish transparent guidelines for fair competition.
- Provide Reference: Act as a go-to resource for participants.
- Maintain Order: Enforce conduct and sportsmanship expectations.
- Enhance Safety: Include safety guidelines where relevant.
- Improve Experience: Reduce confusion and promote trust.
- In essence, it ensures fair, organised, and enjoyable competition while addressing legal and safety concerns.
2. Game Overview
2.1. Tournament Format The tournament is divided into seasons. Season 1 takes place from the 3rd of October to the 31st of October. 2.2. Registration Process Every player who plays Last Stand at any of our venues (London, Stockholm, Prague) is eligible to be included in the Leaderboard and therefore the tournament. 2.3. Eligibility Criteria Every player who has completed the Last Stand game is eligible to participate. 2.4. Scoring System Details about the scoring system can be found here:
3. Game Rules
3.1.General Gameplay The tournament is conducted in the game title Last Stand by Divr Labs 3.2.Equipment and Gear The equipment needed for playing the game is provided completely by the organiser (Prop weapon, headset, arena including needed technological solution) 3.3.Gameplay Etiquette Players are encouraged to act fair, abusing bugs or game mistakes is strictly prohibited. 3.4.Player Conduct Players must adhere to and follow the rules of the arena at all times as well as the instructions of the venue staff. 3.5.Disqualification and Penalties If the players fail to comply with the rules, the staff can disqualify them from the competition. This ruling is final and the staff does not need to provide an in depth explanation of the decision.
4. Tournament Structure
4.1. Determining the winners The winners of each season are determined by their position in the leaderboard. 4.2. Venue leaderboards Each venue will have its own leaderboard and its own champion
5. Tournament Officials
5.1.Roles and Responsibilities The staff of each venue act as the administrators and referees, their decisions are final and non negotiable. 5.2.Questions and discrepancies regarding the rulebook In case of any questions or needed clarification, please contact dalibor.benes@divrlabs.com
6. Prizes and Rewards
6.1.Prizes for Winners Winners are eligible to receive a cash prize for achieving the highest score of the season for their respectable venue. The prizes are as follows: 6000 CZK for the Prague venue, 350 GBP for the London venue, 4000 SEK for the Stockholm venue. 6.2.Recognition and Awards The winners are those players that occupy the first place in the leaderboard for the designated time period (3.10.2023 until 31.10.2023 for Season 1). There is one winner per venue, for a total of three winners. 6.3.Eligibility and receiving the Award Players have to attend a small award ceremony hosted by the organizer in order to be eligible to receive their prize. Underage players have to be accompanied by a legal guardian.
7. Code of Conduct
7.1.Sportsmanship and Fair Play All players are required to respect the rules and regulations of the venues and instructions given to them by the venue staff. Players are also expected to keep fair play values in mind throughout the game. 7.2.Staff and family policy Divr Labs staff and their family members are prohibited from taking part in the competition.
8. Registration and Participation Fees
8.1.Entry Fees The ticket for the game is the only entry fee for the players, there are no on top costs for participating in the tournament.
9. Contact Information and final remarks
9.1.Tournament Organizers The tournament is organized by Divr Labs, the studio which developed the Last Stand game and operates the venues in Prague, London and Stockholm. 9.2.Rule updates or changes The tournament organizer reserves the right to modify or change the tournament rules, format, or any other aspects of the event at their discretion. By participating in the tournament, all players agree to abide by the rules and accept any changes made by the organizer.
